The Manila Observatory participated in the ASIA-AQ 2025 Science Team Meeting, held at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in Bangi, Selangor, Malaysia, from January 20 to 24, 2025.
The meeting was attended by scientists and officials who discussed initial findings from the recent ASIA-AQ mission conducted in various Asian countries to study and address air quality issues.
Scientists from the Air Quality Dynamics (AQD) Laboratory, Dr. James Bernard Simpas and Dr. Maria Obiminda Cambaliza, led discussions on the Philippine ASIA-AQ mission. Additionally, Dr. Melliza Templonuevo Cruz served as one of the session chairs during the event.
Also present were representatives from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Environmental Management Bureau (EMB), including Engr. Chadbert Nikko Aquino and Engr. Paul Nathan Vallar.
