The Air Quality Dynamics program under the guidance of Fr. Jose Ramon T. Villarin, S.J., and with SEED Institute was involved in the quality assurance of the 2010 Greenhouse Gas Inventory of Metro Manila. This project was developed for the Department of Environmental and Natural Resources (DENR) in line with its Greenhouse Gas Inventory-National Greening Program (GHG-NGP).
The inventory showed that emissions in Metro Manila came primarily from the energy sector (89.28%), followed by the waste sector (10.59%) (USAID, 2012).
