PROJECT RESEARCH ASSISTANT (PART –TIME)
Project: FOCAL MECHANISM RESEARCH

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College graduate preferably in the fields of Natural Science or Engineering preferably, with physics and math background
  • No required related experience
  • Knowledge of computer programming
  • Proficient with MS Office or similar suites
  • Proficient in oral and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and a team worker
  • Keen interest in earth sciences
  • Ability to calibrate and maintain scientific instruments or equipment

FUNCTIONS:

  • Collection, processing and encoding of data on seismology
  • Analysis of focal mechanism or fault plane solution and seismograms
  • Assist in the integration and packaging of research studies/project reports
  • Networking with appropriate agencies, both public and private
